UCLA Medical Center Connie Frank Kidney Transplant Center

The UCLA Connie Frank Kidney Transplant Center provides both pre- and post-kidney and pancreas transplantation services. The project completely renovated an existing suite on the 5th floor of the UCLA Peter Morton Medical Plaza 200 Building. Philanthropist Connie Frank helped fund both this project and our design for UCSF’s Connie Frank Transplant Center. The Design Partnership translated the dreams of the philanthropist and UCLA Medical Team into a state-of-the-art environment that is tranquil, healing, and inspired by natural daylight and extraordinary views. The beautiful clinic space represents the high-level of care provided and contributes positively to patient, family and staff experience.

Together we created a new system of patient care that focuses on patient wellbeing and convenience, medical team service and a minimum of patient waiting time. Most exam and infusion rooms have windows to benefit from the spectacular views for the hours patients must spend in treatment. Natural materials and ample natural light create a comfortable, tranquil and welcoming space.
